My honey surprised me with a fun day a few weeks ago. We woke up on Saturday, packed a picnic lunch, and hit the road.
We started with a stop at a park along the river in San Marcos. We grabbed our lunch and found a spot to eat.
We even managed to get a picture together.
It was so nice to see all of the families out for the day, barbecuing, playing.
If only we had brought our swimsuits with us…
Next stop on this surprise date, was a trip to the San Marcos outlet mall. My sweet, honey, who hates to shop unless it’s at Home Depot, followed me around the enormous mall while I bought clothes for work and play.
Next stop was Gruene, TX. If you haven’t been, you really should go. It’s a quaint little town with lots of fun little shops to peruse. We also stopped for a beer in Gruene Hall.
While we drank our beer in the shaded hall, we listened to some live music. It was so cute because the band had a few groupies. Two ladies in their mid-thirties and a lady in her seventies. It was adorable watching them dance around while everyone else sat and enjoyed their beers and the music.
We had such a wonderful day and it was so unexpected. I love you, honey! Thank you for a perfect date. 🙂
